Identification and Resistance Evaluation of Blast Resistance Genes in Early Indica Rice
Using specific molecular markers of blast resistance genes Pi2,Pi9,Pib,Pigm,Pikh,Pikm,Pita and Pi5,the resistance genes and rice blast resistance of 104 early indica rice lines were identified and evaluated. The results showed that the distribution frequency of blast resistance gene Pigm was the highest, reaching 66.35%,followed by Pi5(10.58%),Pib(2.88%),Pikh(1.92%),Pita(1.92%)and Pi2(0.96%).There were 78 lines with"resistance"to rice blast, accounting for 75.00%,of which the lines carrying disease resistance genes Pi2,Pikh and Pita were all resistant. There were eight lines and one line containing two and three resistance genes, respectively.Their corresponding resistance gene combinations were Pi5+Pita,Pigm+Pita,Pigm+Pikh and Pi5+Pib+Pigm.These lines have great application potential in breeding of early indica rice varieties with durable blast resistance. This study provides a reference for the excavation of disease-resistant germplasm resources and the application of blast resistance genes in early indica rice breeding.
