Taoxiu A is a high-quality CMS line of indica rice developed by Hunan Taohuayuan Agricultural Science and Technology Co.,Ltd.through test-cross and multi-generation successive backcrossing of the maintainer line obtained from artificial hybridization.It has good plant type,complete and stable male sterility,excellent grain quality and high outcrossing rate.The breeding process,characteristics and techniques for multiplication and hybrid seed production of Taoxiu A were introduced,which would have important reference value for the development and application of Taoxiu A series of hybrid combinations.
