The thermo-sensitive genic male sterile(TGMS)lines of early rice Zhu 1S and Changzao S were multiplied by direct seeding in Baoshan City,Yunnan Province in early and middle June 2023.The area of the two male sterile lines was 4.83 and 2.67 hm2,respectively;the average yields were 4.08 and 4.28 t/hm2,respectively;and the yields of high-yielding fields were 6.87 and 7.70 t/hm2,respectively.The seed appearance color was good,and the seed germination rate was above 82％.The practice shows that reasonable arrangement of sowing time and strengthening field management can also achieve the ideal goal of high yield and quality in direct seeding multiplication of early indica sterile lines,which is a good emergency supplement method in addition to the conventional transplanting multiplication.The direct seeding multiplication technology of early rice TGMS lines was summarized.
