Spatial analysis of educational resource allocation in Kaihua County,Zhejiang Province
Most regions in China had achieved basic educational equity so far.However,significant issues persisted in ensuring balanced and high-quality education resources,thus rendering imperative the practical research to enrich the equilibrium of educational resources.Based on the population,road network,and edu-cational data from Kaihua County between 2014 and 2022,a spatiotemporal comparative analysis of education-al resource allocation status was conducted by using capacity model and GIS spatial analysis models.The re-search findings revealed that:1)Some schools in Kaihua exhibited lower-than-standard efficiency in utilizing educational resources,necessitating immediate consolidation of faculty resources and educational materials.2)Accessibility to educational resources in various regions of Kaihua had increased annually,yet extreme differ-ences in accessibility had become more prominent.3)Kaihua County was gradually carrying out the optimiza-tion of educational resource allocation,and the utilization of educational resources in various schools was be-coming more reasonable.However,there still existed phenomena such as students attending schools across dif-ferent areas,some schools had relatively low rationality in the utilization of educational resources,and severe shortage of student enrollment.Consequently,the task of fine-tuning and adjusting educational resources re-mained a substantial priority.The presented research findings could provide decision-making support for the spatial layout and planning of educational resources in Kaihua County,serving as a model of experience for ed-ucation common prosperity in mountainous counties.
