Caudwell's Discussion on"Freedom,Literature and Science"
Caudwell's discussion on"freedom, literature and science"includes three aspects:literature and"free will",science and"free action",and literature, science and freedom. He tries to construct a the-oretical system about literature and"free will".He points out that in economic production, human beings embody the nature of the"mock world"through the"emotional tone"of literary language, thus realizing the function of"the common ego"and enhancing the"inevitability"of mental phenomena before eventually arriving at"free will".Meanwhile,he also tries to construct a theoretical system about science and"free action".He believes that human beings also embody the essence of the"mock ego"in economic production through the"perceptible things"in the"language of science"in order to realize the function of the"com-mon world"and ultimately arrive at the"free action".On this basis,he integrates the theoretical systems of literature and"free will",science and"free action",trying to combine and construct a complete"virtual world"to guide his practice.
