The Return of the Memory of South Asia Sea:An Analysis of Memory Narration in Li Zishu's Novels
Memory shapes the present and influences the future actions of individuals and groups. In Malaysia dominated by the Malay ethnic group, the rulers edited the memories and substituted cultural memory for individual life memory, which is further obscured by the trauma experience of Chinese and the writers in Malaysia.Faced with the trouble of memory,Li Zishu adopts such strategies to conduct memory narration as capturing the pinpoint through the establishment of the temporal and spatial shape and repro-ducing trauma of individuals and the MCA community through the reoccurrence of event.Memory narra-tion is both a way for Li Zishu to present and treat the trauma of individuals and the MCA community and to resist the power utterance.Li Zishu's memory writing ultimately points to the treatment of trauma, the reshaping of identity and the transformation of individual action attitude.Through the action of writing, the rich memory of South Asia Sea begins to return in spite of its long period of time.
