The Current Challenges and Responsive Strategies of Inclusive Education in China from the Demand-oriented Perspective
Inclusive education is an indispensable component in the construction of China's high quality education system.Through a review of relevant literature,this article briefly summarizes and analyzes the essence and significance of inclusive education,as well as the practical challenges faced by the"learning in regular classrooms"approach in China.Then from a demand-oriented perspective,the article proposes six key support strategies aimed at addressing these challenges:creating a positive and proactive environment;understanding students and their needs continuously and comprehensively;keeping observing and assess-ing students;providing the students with differentiated curricula and instruction;ensuring the open chan-nels of communication;and offering part-time withdrawal to special education resource rooms.These strategies are to fully accommodate the individualized needs of students in inclusive education settings,en-hance their participation and learning outcomes,and embody the core principles of high quality inclusive education.
