The imbalanced development is a prominent problem in China's modernization construction,and strengthening social governance and achieving common prosperity is an inevitable choice to address this issue.Promoting common prosperity in the process of high quality development requires continuously innovating and deepening social governance,better coordinating social relationships,regulating social be-havior,and solving social problems.In terms of policy design and institutional arrangements,efforts should be made to regulate the income distribution mechanism for residents,deepen tax reform,strength-en the provision of public services,improve basic pension and medical insurance,and encourage social forces to participate in the third distribution.A multi-pronged approach will help solve the imbalanced de-velopment during the transition period.In summary,it is of great significance for social harmony and de-velopment to discuss common prosperity from the perspective of social governance during the transition period with the method of normative research.
