Researchon Zou Shan's Life Experience and Drama Creation in the Early Qing Dynasty
Zou Shan was a dramatist in the early Qing Dynasty. He wrote chuanqi Shuangxing Tu,and his poetry were also exquisite. He lived a difficult life and most of the acquaintances are senior officials from Jiangxi or peers from Jiangxi.Based on his life experience,it can be inferred that the Shuangxing Tu was most likely created between 1682 and 1687,and was printed in 1738.The current version is not a Kangxi reign edition but a Qianlong reign edi-tion.In terms of its main theme,Shuangxing Tu combines ancient legends with his own unique experiences to discuss emotions. The emotions it talks about are the"righteous emotions",and the political and religious ideal it attempts to construct as an orderly society withrespectful couples. It also reflects the writing mode of chuanqi of the early Qing Dynasty, which is full of joy and sorrow.
