Physical Presence of"the Others":The Construction and Dissemination of China's National Image
The body as a medium is a field of meaning where the subject and the object are intermingled, and the in-tentionality of the body delineates the living space for interaction with the world. The presence of"the others"body in the image covers the presence of the real and virtual layers of the body at the same time, which breaks the"de-bodying"spiritual interaction of traditional communication. This breaks the"de-bodyization"of traditional commu-nication,and allows both subjects to share and understand each other's culture in the same space.The"body-space"is a two-way construction field used in cross-cultural communication,in which the intervention of the oth-ers'body experience changes the construction mode of the Chinese social context, and the body is"immersed"in the foreign context. The body's"immersion"in a foreign context also internalizes and shapes the feeling of self-i-dentification.The"body"recorded in the images is examined in the context of the whole, and the impact of the presence of"the others"body in the images on the construction and dissemination of China's national image is con-sidered through the three paths of critical cognition, integrative cognition, and complementary cognition.
