Review and Prospect of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection in Zhejiang Province
Zhejiang Province has been engaged in the protection of intangible cultural heritage for over 20 years.The United Nations recognized the importance of protecting cultural heritage,natural heritage,and intangible cultural heritage as early as the beginning of the 20th century,and has protected them through a series of international con-ventions.China is a major country for intangible cultural heritage,and Zhejiang Province was not only the first to ini-tiate the protection of intangible cultural heritage but also hosts the highest number of national-level intangible cultur-al heritage projects.Intangible cultural heritage represents cultural symbols and spiritual homes,reflecting the lifes-tyles of our ancestors and embodying our nostalgia.Integrating intangible cultural heritage into modern society requires the collective effort of us all.
