Research on Contemporary Chinese Theater:Domain,Method and Prospect
The existence of theaters as architectural facilities,operating agencies,and cultural entities makes the re-search on contemporary Chinese theaters focus on three major domains:theater construction,theater management,and theater culture.In order to fully respect the basic characteristics of the research object,comparative research methods,case research methods,quantitative research methods and spatial research methods become the main meth-ods of contemporary Chinese theater research.The study of contemporary Chinese theater has achieved relatively fruit-ful results,but there are still many problems.It is urgent to make new efforts in expanding historical research,deepe-ning local knowledge research,and strengthening problem awareness,so as to move towards a more solid and magnif-icent future.
