熊式一创作的英文话剧剧本《王宝川》,相较于原剧中国古典戏曲剧本《红鬃烈马》,作者对剧中爱情观的呈现做了改动.通过探讨熊式一对几位主要角色形象塑造的改变来展现爱情观的改变,并阐释如此变动的深层原因,以期为中国戏曲"走出去"有所启迪.
In the English drama Lady Precious Stream,it's found that the Chinese traditional view of love presented in the Chinese traditional opera The Red-Maned Steed has been modified by the author Shih-I Hsiung.This paper intends to investigate how Shih-I Hsiung made changes of love views through the image building of the main characters and il-lustrates the deep-rooted reasons,in the aim of providing some enlightment to the traditional Chinese opera going out.
