"刺点"与焦虑:清末摄影中"辫子"的视觉现代性

清末,中国人辫子的含义被挪用篡改,成为西方观看中国、中国人自观的符号,进而催生国内剪辫运动.这场里程碑式的运动标志着中国由旧而新,自传统走向现代.在此过程中,辫子的内涵得到进一步延伸,它不止成为世界范围内,传播中国形象的"刺点",亦成为中国个体焦虑的催化剂.最终,随剪辫运动的落幕,照片中的"辫子"完成其在现代化进程中的使命,成为世界近现代视觉图像中不可或缺的一部分.
"Punctum"and Anxiety:"Braids"in Photography in the Late Qing Dynasty
At the end of Qing Dynasty,the meaning of Chinese braids was misappropriated and tampered,becoming a symbol of Western observation of China and Chinese self perception,and further giving rise to the domestic trend of braid cutting.This milestone movement marks China's transition from old to new,from traditional to modern.In this process,the connotation of braids was further extended in the photos.It not only became a thorn in the dissemination of China's image on a global scale,but also a catalyst for individual anxiety in China.Finally,with the end of the braid cutting movement,the long braid in the picture completed its function in the process of Chinese path to modern-ization and became an indispensable part of the modern world history.
