Application of BOPPPS teaching method in clinical practice teaching of critical care nursing
Objective To explore the application effect of BOPPPS teaching method in the clinical teaching of critical care nursing.Methods A total of 60 students of four-year nursing majors,Grade 2017 and 2018,at School of Medicine,Jiaxing University who practiced in Department of Critical Care Medicine of The First Hospital of Jiaxing in August to December 2020 and August to December 2021 were selected as the research subjects.A total of 30 students of the 2018 four-year nursing major were set as the experimental group,and 30 students of the 2017 four-year nursing major were set as the control group.The students in the experimental group combined with the BOPPPS teaching method on the basis of the conventional teaching method,and the students in the control group adopted the conventional teaching method.The scores of the two groups of theory and skills and the assessment of critical care ability were compared.Results The experimental group total score of theory and skills(92.18±2.01)was higher than that of the control group(88.20±3.36),and the experimental group critical care ability score(4.14±0.41)was also higher than the control group(3.62±0.45),and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusions BOPPPS teaching method can improve the clinical practice ability of nursing students,enhance the emergency operation skills and emergency response capabilities of nursing students.
