Application of case-based learning method based on 3D printing model in endotracheal incubation teaching
Objective To explore the application effect of case-based learning method based on 3D printing model in tracheal intubation teaching.Methods A cluster sampling method was used to select 80 students majoring in clinical medicine of Grade 2015,2016 and 2017 in Wenzhou Medical University who were interned in Lishui People's Hospital in Zhejiang Province from January 2019 to January 2022 as the research objects.Eighty interns were divided into experimental group and control group according to random number table method.The experimental group of 40 students adopted case-based learning method combining 3D printing model;the control group of 40 students adopted traditional teaching method.After teaching,the teaching effects of the two groups were compared by theoretical knowledge exam,skill operation assessment score,and questionnaire survey results.Two groups of students were taught and assessed according to different grades of students.Results In terms of theoretical knowledge,the score of students in the experimental group(45.23±2.66)was higher than that in the control group(40.94±3.41),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).In terms of skill operation assessment score,the score of students in the experimental group(48.26±2.33)was higher than that in the control group(42.89±3.25),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The questionnaire survey results showed that the scores of students in the experimental group were all higher than those in the control group in five aspects:learning interest,learning efficiency,active interaction,knowledge mastery,and overall satisfaction,with significant differences(all P<0.05).Conclusions The case-based learning method based on 3D printing model,compared with traditional teaching method,can bring students a new stereoscopic visual experience and simulation experience,improve learning interest and efficiency,master theoretical knowledge and skills more firmly,and achieve higher student satisfaction.It is worth further in-depth research and practical promotion.
