A 30 GHz Continuous-wave Gyrotron for Microwave Energy Application
According to ITU Region 3 and China radio frequency division regulations,the frequency used for industrial,scientific and medical applications has been upgraded to millimeter-wave frequency band.In order to promote the microwave energy application in China to higher millimeter-wave frequency domain,a 30 GHz continuous-wave(CW)gyrotron is proposed.Through theoretical design and experi-mental verification,the gyrotron operated in TE01 mode can achieve CW power output more than 100 W with working voltage of 4.2 kV and current of 300mA at the frequency of 30.14 GHz.The experimental results are basically consistent with the theoretical design.
