Research on Fast Warming-up Electron Gun for Miniaturized Ka-band Traveling Wave Tubes
Aiming at the quick start of Ka-band missile-borne traveling wave tubes(TWTs),the in-fluence of filament power on cathode temperature is simulated by using ANSYS software.Through the temperature experiment of electron gun,the relationship between the filament power and cathode tem-perature is quantitatively measured to verify the effect of temperature on cathode emission.On the basis of simulation and experiment,miniaturized structure design of electron gun is carried out.An electron gun for miniaturized Ka-band missile-borne TWT is successfully developed to achieve quick start in 1 5 seconds.
