Sciviathan of Space and Scitopia of Space:The power paradox in ChatGPT age
By introducing the spatial perspective,the article explores the paradoxical impact of the new generation of AI(Artificial Intelligence)represented by ChatGPT on the patterns of human power.On the one hand,the development and application of ChatGPT promotes capital's soaring expansion and spatial deprivation,constructs spatial hegemony under national ideology,hastens the parturition of globalized spatial imperialism,and eventually creates an authoritarian"Sciviathan of Space."On the other hand,under the joint benign control of various actors or agents,ChatGPT can promote the flattening and negotiation of space at the national level,the resilience of the bureaucratic government,and the coordinated development of state-society relations.At the global level,by promoting equal negotiation among different international agents,ChatGPT helps construct"the presence of the whole global space",hence ultimately forming a negotiated"Scitopia of Space".Power itself has a tendency to be centralized,and human beings need to exert their own initiative to change the"Scitopia of Space"and sail to the"Sciviathan of Space",so as to transform the"power paradox"into the"power for good".
