Analysis of the Effect of Complex Salt Synergy on the Deterioration of Cementitious Sand Properties
Sulphate and chloride salts are the main salt-bearing components of saline soils in China, and salt swelling, erosion and dissolution are often found on roads in their areas. It is important to grasp the mechanism of erosion effect of compound salt on cement mortar and the influence law for the engineering construction in saline soil areas. In this paper,a two-factor equal repetition test ANOVA method is used. The two main parameters of sulphate concentration and chloride salt concentration were selected to study the effect of the variation of the two salt concentrations on the test results, and the effect of the interaction between the two salts on the mechanical properties of cement mortar. It was shown that sulphate, chloride salt and the interaction between the two salts could have a significant effect on the flexural and compressive strength of the cement mortar. In a salt attack environment, the chloride salt has a greater effect on the Upfront strength of the cement mortar and the sulphate has a greater effect on the late intensity of the cementitious sand.
