Performance of Semi-flexible Pavement Based on Thermal Reclaimed Asphalt Mixture
The material properties of semi-flexible pavement based on thermal reclaimed asphalt mixture were studied.CAVF method is used to design the parent mixture with a single particle size(9.5~13.2 mm)and a voidage ratio of 28%.The optimal amount of asphalt is determined by leakage analysis and flight test. The best regenerator content was confirmed.Through submerged Marshall test, freeze thaw splitcrack test, the low temperature bending test, rutting test, and splitting fatigue test, the road performance of different semi-flexible pavements with different RAP dosage were analyzed. The results showed that with the increase of RAP content, the perfusion rate, high temperature stability and fatigue performance of semi-flexible pavement materials decreased, while the water stability performance increased, but they all met the requirements of relevant specifications. It can be seen that the heat-reclaimed semi-flexible pavement material has high irrigability, good high-temperature stability, superior water stability and anti-fatigue performance, and can meet the requirements of heavy traffic and high temperature in summer.
