Retarding Effect of Vermiculite and Inorganic Nanoparticles Compound on Aging of Asphalt
Retarding effect of vermiculite and different inorganic nanoparticles compound on aging of asphalt was investigated.Thin film oven,pressure aging vessel and ultraviolet accelerated aging tests were employed to simulate short-term,long-term and thermal-oxidative,ultraviolet aging actions of asphalt.Physical and rheological properties of modified asphalts before and after aging were tested.Results indicate that vermiculite and different inorganic nanoparticles compound can effectively retard the aging action of short-term,long-term and thermal-oxidative,ultraviolet aging on asphalt simultaneously.Based on the comprehensive comparison of physical and rheological properties of different modified asphalts after different aging methods,it is determined that the retarding effect of vermiculite and nano-zinc oxide on aging of asphalt is the best.
