Reasonable Distance Calculation and Congestion Improvement Measures Between Exit of Freight Parking Lot and Intersection
The short distance between the exit of the freight parking lot and the adjacent signalized intersection is easy to cause traffic jams on the road and difficulties for trucks to travel out of the parking.This problem is also very common in the exit of the logistics park where trucks occupy a large proportion.To explore and reduce the influence of export cargo parking lots on the main road traffic,this paper using the queuing theory,the reference T intersection with no traffic signal,establish a reasonable freight car park entrances and adjacent signal intersection distance calculation model.Model considers trucks'characteristics such as body length,turning radius,andit has better applicability to the entrance where the trucks'occupation is large.Using actual scene to prove the rationality of the distance between the parking exit,the adjacent signalized intersection and the validity of the model.The results showed that:the evaluation results of the model constructed in this paper are consistent with the actual situation of the scene,and can better calculate the reasonable distance between the exit of the freight parking lot and the adjacent signalized intersection.The actual scene which cannot meet the requirements of reasonable distance at the exit of the freight parking lot often appear lorry travel difficulties,traffic jams on the main road and other bad traffic conditions.This research provides some suggestions about the problems existing in the actual scene.Results can provide theoretical guidance for the exit access management of freight parking lot.
