Design and Performance Evaluation of High Viscosity Hydrophobic Deicing Fog Seal Material
To solve the problems of delayed passive deicing and lowdeicing efficiency on roads in winter,an active high viscosity hydrophobic deicing fog seal material was developed.Through orthogonal theoretical design and analytic hierarchy process,a comprehensive performance evaluation was carried out to determine the optimal amount of tackifier and hydrophobic agent.Performance tests were conducted to evaluate road performance and deicing performance of the material, with the optimal amount of deicing agent being determined. The results show that compared to emulsified asphalt substrate, the cohesion and hydrophobicity of the high viscosity and hydrophobic fog seal materialobtained at the optimal ratio has been increased by 55.7%and 144.3%respectively.When the dosage of deicing agent is 9%to 12%,the storage stability of the fog seal material is good.At the spraying amount of 0.06 g/cm2,the curing performance and anti-slip performance of the seal layer are significantly improved, reaching the optimal equilibrium state. The dosage of deicing agent is linearly correlated with electrical conductivity. After multiple immersion cycles, the high viscosity hydrophobic deicing fog seal material exhibits releasesustainability and durability. The anti freezing effect of the fog seal material reaches the best when the deicing agent dosage is 9%.
