From Utopia to Science:Socialist Ideological Trend and Practice in China since Modern Times
The Development of Socialism from Utopia to Science,written by Engels,systematically expounded the development process of socialism from utopia to science,and answered the basic questions of why scientific social-ism was necessary and how it can be achieved.Examining the whole appearance of socialism in China from the per-spective of Engels'socialist view,we can find that Chinese society has also experienced a transformation of socialism from utopia to science since modern times.Due to its utopian nature and the so-called"Chinese characteristics",the Chinese-style utopian socialist ideological trend was withdrawn.In sharp contrast,the socialist movement led by the CPC is present thanks to its scientific nature and real Chinese characteristics.The establishment of the CPC has pro-vided the development of scientific socialism in China with a leadership core and an organizational foundation;the CPC has combined the basic tenets of Marxism with China's actual conditions and with Chinese fine traditional cul-ture,thus endowing scientific socialism with real Chinese characteristics;the CPC has always adhered to the people-centered approach,broadening the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
