Knowledge Evolution of Overseas Ethnography in Chinese Anthropology
Anthropology is capable of participating in the practical implementation of Area Studies,Area Studies can promote the development of Anthropology,and the essential point is the transformation of Overseas Ethnography.On the one hand,Anthropology is able to equip Area Studies with research methods,academic norms,and talent-cul-tivating experience.On the other hand,the construction of Area Studies provides demands and resources for the de-velopment of Anthropology.Oriented by questions,empirical research on overseas societies forms the cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary knowledge production through the interaction of"other"and"self"and the transformation of field and writing,in which practice and theories are embedded and can promote mutually.Area Studies,benefiting from Anthropology and taking the perspective of world society,could meet the knowledge requirement of multiple sub-jects.Thus,it can enhance"the Chineseness in the world"of Chinese Social Science,empowering and contributing to establishing a knowledge system with reflective autonomy and effective dialogue.
