Building a New Analytical Framework for the Ethnic Studies in Hainan:Taking Consolidating a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation as Main Line
The relevant issues in the past research on the ethnic groups in Hainan were mainly approached from the internal perspective of a single ethnicity,focusing on the exploration of ethnic origins and characteristics,the transformation of ethnic culture from tradition to modernity,and presenting an adaptive pattern that starts from within and moves upwards.These studies rarely involved discussions on the Hainan model and experiences related to the narrative of the community of the Chinese nation.Based on the three theoretical research paths of historical experi-ence,current paths,and practical models for consolidating a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation,re-search on the ethnic groups in Hainan can delve into the following issues:the relationship between the central govern-ment and Hainan as a borderland,the historical and current experiences of interactions,communications and integra-tion among the ethnic groups in Hainan,the relationship between the Chinese nation and the ethnic groups in Hain-an,as well as the relationship between Chinese culture and the cultural heritage of the ethnic groups in Hainan.Ad-ditionally,the study can explore the common development of the Chinese nation and the ethnic groups in Hainan in the new era,the co-development of Chinese culture and the cultural heritage of the ethnic groups in Hainan,and the practical applications of the cultural heritage of the ethnic groups in Hainan in industrial development,cultural and tourism integration,rural revitalization,and scientific and technological progress.
