Dimensions and Levels for Observing and Studying the History of Ethnic Interactions,Exchanges,and Integration in China
The history of ethnic interactions,exchanges,and integration within the Chinese nation is rich in content and diverse in types.This history can be primarily examined from five key dimensions:the interactions,ex-changes,and integration between the Central Plains dynasties and ethnic minority regimes,between different ethnic minority regimes,between the Han ethnic group and other ethnic minorities,between different ethnic minorities,and the interactions,exchanges,and integration reflected in"Han-Hua"(Sinicization)and"Hu-Hua"(adoption of customs of ethnic minorities).Additionally,it should be studied from five critical levels including governmental policies,economic and trade activities,warfare,inter-ethnic marriage,and migration.Furthermore,many fields and topics require detailed observation,in-depth exploration,and systematic research by scholars.By adhering to scientific theories,comprehensively sorting multilingual historical materials,and conducting solid fieldwork,we can enrich the research content of the history of ethnic interactions,exchanges,and integration,promoting its in-depth development and ultimately contributing wisdom to the construction of a scientifically complete theoretical system of the community of the Chinese nation.
