Organizing and Exploiting Folk Inscriptions from the Perspective of Digital Humanities:A Case Study of Folk Inscriptions in Hainan
Recent fieldwork conducted has uncovered a wealth of folk inscriptions in Miao villages in Hainan.Among these,inscriptions produced before the 1911 Revolution are categorized as ancient texts.These inscriptions encompass valuable cultural content,including folk customs,etiquette,family genealogies,contracts,and religious practices,as well as linguistic research on phonetics,vocabulary,grammar,and script.This article integrates dig-ital humanities methods and artificial intelligence technology to enhance the organization and development of Miao folk inscriptions in Hainan in the new era,with a focus on consolidating a strong sense of community for the Chi-nese nation.It aims to accelerate the exploration,transformation,and utilization of these inscriptions,providing i-deas and foundational guidelines for application of these ancient books.Ultimately,it aims to reveal the unique spiritual essence of the Chinese nation.
