Objective To improve the quality standard of Sarcandra glabra.Methods Thirteen batches of Sarcandra glabra from different areas were used as the research object.As a control substance,isofraxidin and standard herb were identified by thin layer chromatography(TLC).The moisture,total ash,acid-insoluble ash,and extract of Sarcandra glabra were determined according to the general principles in Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2020 Edition).The content of isofraxidin and rosmarinic acid was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Results The spots of TLC were clear and well separated.The content of moisture,total ash,acid-insoluble ash and extract of samples was 9.4％,5.2％,0.5％and 12.6％,respectively.The content of isofraxidin and rosmarinic acid was 0.026％and 0.030％,respectively.Conclusion This method is highly specific,accurate and simple,which may be used in the quality control of Sarcandra glabra.
