Research progress in mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine for viral hepatitis B
Viral hepatitis B is a major public health problem worldwide.For now,antiviral drugs are commonly used in clinical treatment.In recent years,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),especially combined with antiviral drugs,can effectively enhance the clinical efficacy,reduce adverse reactions and increase curative rate.This review summarized TCM compounds and their active ingredients from virus replication inhibition,immunoregulation,liver protection,enzymes reduction or fibrosis inhibition.We aim to reveal the advantages of TCM in the prevention and treatment of viral hepatitis B,provide direction for the development of clinical drugs for viral hepatitis B and its complications and provide theoretical basis for the combined treatment of TCM and Western medicine for viral hepatitis B.
