Rapid clinical comprehensive evaluation of glucosamine
Objective To rapidly and comprehensively evaluate clinical use of glucosamine as a basis for medical institutions to select glucosamine.Methods Based on the reality of Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shanghai,the pharmacological properties,effectiveness,safety,economy and other indicators of Glucosamine hydrochloride capsules(SANKANG,0.75 g×30 capsules/bottle and 0.75 g×60 capsules/bottle)and Glucosamine sulfate capsules(YISUOJIA,0.314 g×12 capsules×2 plates/kit)were evaluated by referring to A Rapid Guideline for Drug Evaluation and Selection in Chinese Medical Institutions(the 2nd Edition).Results Glucosamine hydrochloride capsules 30 capsules/bottle scored 71.74,while 60 capsules/bottle scored 71.5.Glucosamine sulfate capsules scored 71.5.Conclusion The pharmaceutical properties,safety,and other indicators are consistent for all three glucosamines.Glucosamine hydrochloride capsules displays economic advantage.The evidence for the effectiveness of Glucosamine sulfate capsule is more sufficient than that of Glucosamine hydrochloride capsule.
