Information management models for narcotic drugs and first category psychotropic drugs in medical institutions
Narcotic drugs and first category psychotropic drugs(anesthesia drugs)are subject to special regulatory supervision in China, governed by laws and regulations. They constitute a focal point of pharmaceutical administration within medical institutions.Due to their unique characteristics, the management of anesthesia drugs in Chinese medical facilities primarily relies on manual operations, with limited automation. As medical informatics continues to develop, the traditional management model can no longer meet the demands of anesthesia drug management in contemporary medical institutions. This paper analyzed the challenges and risks associated with the management of anesthesia drugs with traditional approaches. We explored the methodology for establishing an intelligent information management system for anesthesia drugs within the hospital information system and discussed the outcomes to provide insights into clinical implementation.
