Rapid identification of compositions in Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua by UPLC-ESI-QTOF/MS
Objective To rapidly characterize and identify the chemical compositions in Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua with ultra-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-ESI-QTOF/MS)and Waters UNIFI software.Methods A ZORBAX SB-C18(2.1 mm×100 mm,1.8 μm)column was used for the gradient elution with acetonitrile-water solution as the mobile phase at the flow rate of 0.3 mL·min-1,and the column temperature was 30 ℃.The data were collected by scanning in both positive and negative ion modes.Results Totally 47 compounds were identified,including 15 steroidal saponins,8 flavonoids,9 organic acids,4 alkaloids,1 amino acid,and 10 others.Three of these compounds were accurately identified by reference compounds.Conclusion This method can rapidly and qualitatively analyze the chemical components in Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua,providing a scientific basis for elucidating its material basis and promoting quality evaluation.
