Research progress in the effect of dihydromyricetin on the prevention and treatment of liver diseases and related mechanism
Dihydromyricetin is a flavonoid compound mainly present in plants of the Ampelopsis genus in grape family.It has various pharmacological effects such as antioxidation,anti-inflammation,anti-tumor,anti-microbe,anti-aging,anti-alcohol and liver protection,prevention and treatment of cardiovascular,cerebrovascular,and metabolic diseases.Recently,the protective effects of dihydromyricetin on liver diseases including acute liver injury,alcoholic liver disease,metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease,viral hepatitis,liver fibrosis,and liver cancer have been extensively studied.This article reviewed the protective effect and mechanism of dihydromyricetin on liver diseases,to provide reference for the development of dihydromyricetin-related drugs and products,as well as the clinical prevention and treatment of liver diseases.
