Patent distribution of Japanese Kampo medicine enterprises-TSUMURA & CO as an example
Objective To analyze the Japanese patents and Chinese patents applied by TSUMURA &CO from 2000 to 2022,to understand its research and patent direction and its strategic prescription patents to enlighten Chinese traditional medicine enterprises.Methods Patents filed by TSUMURA& CO from 2000 to 2022 were searched in Incopat patent search database.The patent indexes were analyzed.Results TSUMURA & CO preparation industry chain was complete,the patent distribution was continuous and rich in technical themes,which posed a potential threat to Chinese traditional medicine enterprises.The prescription patents were strategic.Conclusion Chinese enterprises should form flexible patent strategies,broaden the coverage of patent distribution continue investment in R&D and patent defense and strategically construct key Chinese medicine product patent network.
