Advances of hyaluronic acid-modified serum albumin nanoparticles in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer
The conventional methods of tumor detection and treatment have limitations, such as inadequate targeting and limited sensitivity. However, scientists have developed a new nanosystem that may offer a solution. They have modified the serum albumin with hyaluronic acid, resulting in a nanosystem with improved biocompatibility and degradability. This nanosystem has a unique dual-targeting effect, which can indirectly enhance tumor imaging sensitivity and therapeutic accuracy. This article discussed the most recent advances in hyaluronic acid-modified serum albumin nanoparticle research on tumor imaging diagnosis, treatment, and therapeutic integration, based on domestic and international literatures. It also identified the challenges that still need to be addressed, offered theoretical support and methodological guidance for the development of targeted anti-tumor nano-formulations.
