Optimization of vortex-assisted extraction of strictosamide from Nauclea officinalis by response surface method
Objective To optimize the vortex-assisted extraction of strictosamide from Nauclea offiicinalis with the response surface method. Methods The extraction parameters such as ethanol concentration, vortex rotation, and liquid-solid ratio were optimized through Box-Behnken design based on single-factor experiments. The mathematical model between the parameters and the response values was established to determine the best vortex extraction. Results The optimal conditions included ethanol concentration at 55%,vortex rotation at 1500 r·min-1,liquid-solid ratio of 60 mL/g,and vortex time for 1 min.Under these conditions, the yield of strictosamide was 3.85 mg·g-1,close to the theoretical value of 3.82 mg·g-1.Conclusion The extraction is simple, fast and efficient, which is suitable for extracting alkaloids from Nauclea officinalis. It provides a theoretical basis for the industrial process of Nauclea officinalis.
