Pre-prescription review in the key monitoring drugs
Objective To provide reference for pharmacists to participate in the key monitoring drugs and promote rational drug use.Methods Pharmacists analyzed the proportion of clinical consumption of key monitoring drugs in our hospital in February 2023 through visualization software Power BI,and commented on the prescriptions and medical orders of such drugs used from February to May 2023.The rules of key monitoring drugs in the"Yipu Pre-approved Prescription Rational Drug Use Software"used in our hospital were reviewed.The review rules were reset from basic rules and individualized rules,levels of irrational drug use were categorized,and the content of clues and hints was renewed.The combination of system review and manual review mode helped implement prescription preview for key monitoring drugs.Pharmacists evaluated the effect of prescription preview on promoting rational use of key monitoring drugs via analysis of failure rate of prescriptions(orders)from June to November 2023 and the change in the consumption amount of from February to November 2023.Results After the preview of key drug prescriptions,the unqualified prescriptions(doctor's orders)were decreased obviously,the consumption of dezocine,human blood albumin,rabeprazole for injection and amino acid injection were also decreased greatly,and the consumption proportion of key monitoring drugs out of all drugs decreased from 8.7％in February to 4.7％in November.The average cost was reduced from 2034 yuan to 203 yuan.Conclusion The review rules for key monitoring drugs set by pharmacists help manage clinical rational drug use and standardize drug use behavior.
