Objective To determine the chemical constituents of Syringa oblata(S.oblata)leaves.Methods The chemical components of S.oblata leaves were separated and purified by column chromatography with silica gel,ODS,and preparative HPLC.The structures of the chemical components were determined comprehensively with nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrum.Results Totally 19 compounds were isolated ftom S.oblata leaves and identified as syringalactone B(1),(8E)-ligstroside(2),(8E)-ligustroside(3),hydroxyframoside(4),fraxiformoside(5),oleoacteoside(6),syringopicroside(7),tetracentronside B(8),(+)pinoresinol-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(9),4,4'-dimethoxy-3'-hydroxy-7,9':7',9-diepoxylignan-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(10),lariciresinol-4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(11),olivil-4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(12),isolariciresinol-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(13),syringin(14),coniferin(15),(4ξ)-α-terpineol 8-O-[α-L-arabinopyranosyl-(1 → 6)-β-D-glucopyranoside](16),(Z)-3-hexenyl β-D-glucopyranoside(17),benzyl alcohol-β-vicianoside(18),and gaultherin(19).Conclusion Compounds 5,10,15 and 16~19 have been first isolated from Syringa,and compounds 4,6,12 have been isolated for the first time from S.oblata leaves.
