From "You" to "Us"——Practices and Reflections on Community Archaeology at Chuwan Site in Xingyang,Henan Province
Based on the excavation and research work carried out at the Chuwan site in Xingyang,Henan Province,the public archaeology team worked closely with the villages and towns where the site is located,and designed and organized the implementation of the Chuwan Community Archaeology"Five Ones"program,which mainly includes:a community thematic exhibition,presentations on archaeology in primary and middle schools,oral history interviews,an on-line class,and short videos on archaeology.This paper introduces the specific community archaeology work at the Chuwan site,analyzes the practical effects,explores the positive interaction between people,community and heritage,and gain experience for site-centered community archaeology.
