The paper provides a comprehensive review of the 45th World Heritage Committee session held in 2023,conducting a detailed analysis of the conservation status decisions made for the World Heritage sites by the committee.Special attention is given to the factors affecting the properties listed in the World Heritage List in Danger in 2023,with a focus on the 56 endangered heritage sites.Additionally,the session's deliberation of new nominations is subjected to further data analysis.Furthermore,2 Ukraine properties listed in the World Heritage List in Danger in this session due to the Russo-Ukrainian War as well as sites associated with recent conflicts were interpreted in depth.The article delves further into two hot topics in relation to the Russo-Ukrainian War,the listing of two Ukrainian properties as'endangered'during this session,and the interpretation of sites of memory associated with recent conflicts.
