The article delves into the etymology and evolution of Longyacheng Site in Nanchuan,offering insights into the background and progression of the Longyacheng Site's fortification,as well as the Battle of Longyacheng Site during the Southern Song Dynasty and the subsequent military engagements at this site.The paper also assesses the current status of the Longyacheng Site,highlighting the principal vestiges of the Longyacheng Site and examines the strategic significance for the site's selection and its geographical features.This paper articulates the distinctive attributes and historical value of Longyacheng Site within the context of Southern Song Dynasty's mountain fortified city sites,and culminates in a proposed strategy for the protection and utilization of the ruins,envisioning the future development of the Longyacheng Archaeological Site Park.This research aims to enhance the collective understanding and appreciation of Longyacheng Site as a cultural heritage site.
