The Impact of New Land Features on the Summer Palace:Cognition and Response Based on Spatial Information
Human construction activities challenges the authenticity and integrity of cultural heritage sites, necessitating strict control over the number, height and density of new land features.Understanding and addressing the impact of construction activities on cultural heritage sites is a scientific and policy challenge that we must collectively confront.Drawing on spatial observation data, this paper discusses changes in new features within the buffer zone of the Summer Palace and the impacts on cultural heritage, social perceptions, and the measures taken.Through a number of cases illustrating the direct and indirect impacts of new land feature changes, this paper demonstrates the role of spatial information technology in monitoring and evaluation of cultural heritage, and offers suggestions on protecting cultural heritage protection in response to these changes.
