Analysis of early warning detection system for the US midcourse ballistic missile defense
The midcourse ballistic missile defense system has a considerable strategic significance for missile defense, and its early warning detection subsystem is the prerequisite for successful missile interception.Aiming at the problem of ballistic missile penetration, starting from the early warning detection system of the US midcourse ballistic missile defense, the current deployment and combat capabilities of the existing space-based satellites,ground-based and sea-based radars are introduced,as well as the future development of the detection equipment for targets such as supersonic weapons.Based on this,a detailed analysis of the early warning detection operations during the period of missile ascending and midcourse flight is carried out.And the defect is pointed out that the stability and reliability of the system will be decreased due to the inability of close cooperation.Taking advantage of possible loopholes, the strategies of missile penetration are given from the perspective of improving missile capability and implementing interference.
