Aerodynamic Characteristics of Martian Helicopter Rotor Airfoil
Due to the influence of the thin Martian atmosphere,the Mars helicopter rotor works in the special aerodynamic environment of low Reynolds number and high Mach number,the aerody-namic characteristics of the rotor airfoil are quite different from those of the earth conventional air-foil.In this paper,CFD method was used to carry out numerical calculation research on low Reyn-olds number airfoil and analyze the influence of geometric parameters such as relative thickness,camber and maximum camber position on aerodynamic performance and flow characteristics of air-foil,so as to provide suggestions for the research of Mars helicopter rotor airfoil.At the same time,the aerodynamic performance of several typical low Reynolds number airfoils was calculated.It was found that CLF5605 airfoils had better comprehensive performance and better met the aerodynamic requirements of Mars helicopter rotor airfoils.
