In order to understand the prevalence and transmission characteristics of Escherichia coli drug resistance and drug resistance genes in poultry farms in Zhanjiang,Guangdong Province,120 fecal samples and 120 soil samples were collected from 8 poultry farms in Zhanjiang, and 200 strains of Escherichia coli were isolated and identified.Drug-sensitive paper diffusion test was used to detect the drug resistance of the isolates to 23 kinds of antibiotics.PCR was used to detect the kinds of drug resistance genes in the isolates. The results showed that the resistance rate of 200 isolates in feces and soil to 12 drugs such as sulfamisoxazole, vancomycin and cotrimoxazole was higher(≥50%).The drug resistance rate to meropenem, furazolidone, fosfomycin and other 11 drugs was low(≤50%).Drug resistance genes were detected in all isolates of E.coli, and 28 kinds of drug resistance genes were detected in faecal isolates, among which blaTEM and sul2 had the higher detection rates.25 kinds of resistance genes were detected in soil isolates, among which blaTEM,int1,sul2 and tetD were the higher.Multiple drug resistance was common in isolated bacteria.Due to the complex mechanism of drug resistance, the characteristics and modes of bacterial drug resistance transmission still need to be further explored.
