The anti-inflammatory,analgesic and antidiarrheal pharmacodynamics of Niwuqiancao decoction
To study the anti-inflammatory,analgesic,astringent,and antidiarrheal effects of Niwuqiancao decoction.According to each experimental design,210 Kunming mice were randomly divided into several groups and given Niwuqiancao decoction by gavage at doses of 0.303 3 g/kg,0.910 0 g/kg,and 2.730 0 g/kg,respectively.Both model control group and positive control group were established for each experiment.Mouse xylene-induced auricular swelling experiment,acetic-acid-induced twisting experiment, charcoal propulsion of small intestine experiment and fecal moisture weighing experiment were carried out in this study. The results showed that compared with the model group, the medium dose of Niwuqiancao decoction could significantly inhibit the ear swelling rate caused by xylene(P<0.01),the medium and high dose of Niwuqiancao decoction could reduce the frequency of mice twisting(P<0.05 or P<0.01),and with the increase of drug dosage, the inhibition rate of body twisting was significantly increased, indicating that the Niwuqiancao decoction had a significant analgesic effect. The low, medium, and high dose of Niwuqiancao decoction could inhibit the promotion of carbon powder in the small intestine, indicating that Niwuqiancao decoction had a certain astringent effect on the intestine;compared with the blank control group, after 3 days of administration, there was no significant difference(P>0.05)in the water content in the feces of mice in the low, medium, and high dose groups and the positive control group, indicating that the decoction had a good antidiarrheal effect. In summary,Niwuqiancao decoction has significant anti-inflammatory,analgesic and antidiarrheal effect, and can be used for drug development in the treatment of calf diarrhea.
