The objective was to evaluation the quality of Astragalus fine powder by near-infrared diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(NIRDRS)combined with chemometrics. The qualification test model was established to effectively control the quality for fine powder of Astragalus quickly and nondestructively. The near infrared original spectra of Astragalus fine powder were pre-processed and followed by qualification test model treatment. The results showed that perfect classification ratio of 100%was obtained for the vector normalization by near-infrared spectroscopy fingerprint information from 3 741.5-9 642.9 cm-1 based on qualification test model. The established model can provide a new reference for the quality control of Astragalus fine powder, which is difficult to distinguish the quality from appearance.
