Dynamic Response Reconstruction Method Based on Variational Mode Extraction
The response reconstruction method based on empirical mode decomposition depends on band-pass filters with many parameters, and is not suitable for structures with closely spaced modes. Therefore,a dynamic response reconstruction method based on variational mode extraction is proposed.Firstly, the dynamic response measured by the sensors is decomposed into modal responses with variational mode extraction in the time domain. Then, modal responses at the position with unknown response can be calculated through the modal transformation matrix derived from finite element modeling or the modal test, and the reconstruction of unknown dynamic response at the remaining positions can be completed through the modal superposition method. Finally, numerical simulations of a cantilever beam with loosely spaced modes and a 3-layer shear frame with closely spaced modes are carried out respectively, and the experimental analysis of a simply supported beam is conducted, which verify the effectiveness and good robustness of the proposed method.
